This is my third New Year's woodcut, which has now become a yearly tradition. Technically it's not a woodcut but rather a linocut since it was carved from a block of linoleum instead of wood. Besides a few proofs, thirty five copies were printed and sent as 2003/2004 New Year's cards. This piece was inspired by the woodcuts of Lyonel Feininger and Gerhard Marcks, two of the original Masters of Form at the Bauhaus.
